317L Fittings contains molybdenum it is a low carbon austenitic stainless steel fitting with additions of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum for better corrosion resistance and increased resistance to chemical attack for formic, sulfurous, acetic, citric, and tartaric acids. Stainless Steel 317L Pipe Fittings are useful in applications such as paper and pulp handling equipment, chemical and petrochemical processing equipment, power generation stations, Food processing equipment, textile equipment, etc. It has superior corrosion resistance in difficult environments including a wide range of chemicals, especially in acidic chloride environments. 317L elbow provides a change direction in material flow.
This adds pressure losses to the system due to its friction, re-acceleration and impact. The product is then diverted at an angle towards the outlet of the elbow. As the product enters the elbow inlet, it continues moving ahead to the primary impact zone. The turning angle is determined by the elbow design, conveying velocity, product characteristic and specific load. A403 WP317L Tee is a short piece of pipe with 90° branch at the centre. They are used for collecting or distributing the fluid from the run pipe. There are two types of tee used in piping system, i.e. equal tee and unequal tee.
